Judy Guzman-Cottrill, DO is a dual board certified physician in both Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Diseases. She has over 20 years of experience in the fields of infection prevention and healthcare epidemiology. Dr. Guzman served as the Hospital Epidemiologist and Medical Director of the Doernbecher Children's Hospital Infection Prevention & Control Department from 2004 - 2015. During that time, Dr. Guzman quickly became a recognized leader in the field of infection prevention, expanding beyond pediatrics. Dr. Guzman has a specialized focus in the intersection of public health and healthcare facilities, striving to act as “the bridge” between public health and healthcare personnel. 2011-2012: Chair, Oregon State NICU CLABSI Prevention Collaborative
2012-2013: State Leader, NCABSI Multi-State Collaborative to prevent CLABSI in NICUs
2012-2013: Led a 6-physician workgroup to publish the first Infection Prevention & Control Guideline for Ronald McDonald House Charities. This guideline is now used in over 300 Ronald McDonald Houses across the world.
